Quick review II

Review

I hope this post finds you studying and feeling pretty confident about the test. I apologize I have been out the past two days, but hopefully you have worked w each other to continue to prepare.  I wish I were in class!!!

In planning review for THURSDAY and FRIDAY, please email me topics (be as specific as possible) so we can be as effective and efficient as possible on those days.

Review labs at lab bench ( see key websites section of blog)

Suggestions for test day
Get some sleep
Don't panic, there will be questions you will not know.
Manage your time
Trust yourself (you are ready!)
Studies have been shown that cramming leads to greater anxiety than success.
Pick one or two topics to review on Sunday
Don't over think
If you don't know it, skip it, and come back to it. Answer all questions!
FRQ-read ALL questions, write down thoughts to get an outline before you write your answer

See you tomorrow!

Anatomy and Physiology Midterm 3/11 and 3/12

Midterm will consist of 2 tests which will be set up in the following manner:  30 Multiple Choice Questions, 2 Cluster Questions, 2 Long FRQ and 1 Short FRQ.  You will take part one Monday 3/11 and part two Tuesday 3/12.   Each Test will be 80 minutes long to simulate the timing of the AP Test in May.

I am not saying you need to write the answers to ALL of these questions, but I would recommend that after reviewing/reading each segment that you are able to answer these questions.  Some MC questions are very specific.  All FRQs will be application based.  Vertebrate evolution is a common theme throughout most of the FRQ.

Mr. Cheney, You are Getting on my Nerves!!!

Nervous System (F-T) Mader Ch 37 Read 694-714 WKBK p 235-245 (s/f) 247-250 (drugs/fx)

Special Senses (T-W) Mader Ch 38 Read 717-732  WKBK p 231-234, 251-265

Endocrine (W-Th) Mader Ch 40 Read 735-770

Immune/Lymphatic (Th-F) Mader Ch 44 Read 627-643  WKBK 169-70 (examples of defenses) 173-182 (Lymph/Immunity and vaccinations), 183-189 (Immune system disorders)

This seems like a lot of information, but for these systems we are going to focus on the homeostastic processes and their relationships to the systems we have already covered.  These systems have direct ties back to the Nervous System.

I will highlight specific questions in my biozone that are key concepts.
